We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Disability Case Manager for Canada.  There is flexibility for this position to work remotely anywhere across Canada, with Head Office Operations from Toronto.  The Senior Case Manager is expected to manage projects and take responsibility for specific deliverables primarily in relation to claims management and program design while meeting timelines and work directly with clients. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing absence management expertise inclusive of claims management to our clients in the areas of absence which may include disability, workers’ compensation and leave management
  • Manage projects ensuring responsibility for deliverables, timelines and work with absence team (consultants and analysts) to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Conduct and facilitate meetings with clients and absence teams to complete project work.
  • Develop and prepare reports using existing and new templates.
  • Participate in the development of proposals working in collaboration with senior consultants and proposal teams, and attend finalist presentations as required.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and support to Associate members of the Absence practice on their work and their interactions with clients ensuring high standards of service.
  • Independently own and act as point of contact for clients

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

  • University degree;
  • Thorough knowledge of Absence program design and implementation;
  • Minimum 5-8 years of practical experience within the Absence field
  • Previous work experience within a consulting environment would be an asset.
  • Experience with claims management processes inclusive of adjudication,  case management, return to work facilitation and  moderately complex cases
  • Comfortable speaking and engaging with clients - able to facilitate client meetings independently and to participate in the delivery of project results
  • Expertise in Excel and demonstrated strength in numerical analysis;
  • Superior communication skills, both written, and oral essential;
  • Must be a highly motivated, customer-service and team-oriented individual;
  • Solid project management skills;
  • Ability to work under deadlines, and ability to work on several projects simultaneously is critical;
  • Would be considered an asset for candidates who have a (RN) Registered Nursing background, this is an asset but not a requirement.
