Human Resources Connect Consultants (HRCCs) have a variety of interactions with colleagues, managers and business leaders as they respond to questions and issues related to HR policy and process.Human Resources Connect Consultant (HRCCs) operate independently to organize priorities and resolve issues. They interact with HR Advisors, Legal, Compliance and other interdependent functions to determine appropriate course of action and bring issues to closure. Core areas of consulting include:
Performance Management: Provides advice and counsel on performance management issues. Partners with the colleague, manager and other business leaders as necessary to address performance gaps and facilitates discussions to assess appropriate action. Provides coaching to managers on all aspects of performance including delivering effective feedback and improving performance.
Workforce Relations: Conducts internal investigations and brings to closure following appropriate protocol. Effectively investigates and implements resolutions on workplace issues in an effort to minimize risk to the organization. Collaborates with HR Advisors, Legal and other internal parties as needed on situations that have potential for broad exposure.
Policy/ Procedure/ Employment Practices and Laws: Responds to complex questions about HR policy/process. Supports managers in applying HR policies to high risk situations; ensures HR Advisors are appropriately involved so that appropriate visibility is achieved.
Talent Management: Serves as a resource on competencies and development tools for managers and colleagues. May facilitate corporate and segment specific courses for colleague/manager development. May be responsible for elements of on-boarding and exit processes.
Rewards: Consults with managers on base pay, bonus, equity and recognition programs for individuals and teams. Assists managers in utilizing rewards programs to motivate and recognize teams for their contribution.
HR Program Effectiveness/Project Participant
Provides input and feedback to HR Operations Management on opportunities for improvement in HR delivery, systems, tools, etc. Represents HR Operations in projects to develop or refine HR programs, either at the corporate level, or for business segment specific purposes. May lead cross functional projects as subject matter expert.
* Bachelor's degree required
* Recognized HR qualification or status ideal (ie.CHRP)
* minimum five years in HR practitioner/HR Generalist role
Specific knowledge & experience required in the following areas:
* Coaching and advising employees on HR policy and process
* Knowledge of local employment laws and HR trends
* Excellent listening, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
* Consulting skills including assessment & diagnosis of workplace issues
* HR process improvement project experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
* Highly motivated and self directed
* Can maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
* Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in time-sensitive situations
* Ability to coach and influence others
