Aon is looking for a Health Solutions Senior Vice President, Sales Leader-Health and Benefits (H&B) for Chicago, IL or New York, NY

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting our Health Solutions group in the Greater Chicago market. 

 

As a Health Solutions Sales Leader, you will report directly to the Senior Vice President, North America H&B Sales Leader.

 

Your impact as a Senior Vice President, Health Solutions Sales Leader.

The Health & Benefits Sales Leader will be responsible for the achievement of the sales plan in his/ her defined Market geography. This position will be involved in coaching the various channels who carry sales goals to the achievement of those goals.  Responsible for the execution of the annual sales plan, to include marketing initiatives, pipeline management and reporting, sales forecasting and tracking performance and preparing sales reports from SFDC for their identified market.  Will be involved in implementing H&B’s annual and long-term sales and marketing strategies including segmentation strategy (Large Market and Mid -Market).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements annual operating plans, consistent with objectives set by the Health Solutions Practice
  • Attainment of H&B new and expanded sales goal for the designated regional market
  • Partner with leadership in attainment of sales goals
  • Leads sales activities for a defined geography
  • Oversee performance management of H&B producers in the markets, in conjunction with Regional Sales Directors, Regional Managing Directors and Local Practice Leaders
  • Channel management strategy, execution & coaching, to encompass H&B new and expanded sales from the following sales channels:
    • Account Executives
    • Producers
    • Specialty Practice Leaders
    • Third party originators, as applicable
  • Channel conflict resolution
  • Coordination & execution of Marketing events and sales follow-up action plans, in close collaboration with Marketing personnel
  • Strategy & execution of Market(s) Recognition Programs
  • Develop and deliver sales skills building programs that enhance the sales abilities of channel members
  • Administration of H&B Sales Operations, including:
    • Sales goal setting & allocation
    • Pipeline analysis and reporting
    • Sales credit allocations
  • Serve as point person for resourcing initial prospect meetings/closing details and for Unsolicited Proposals
  • Leverage distribution channels for new logos
  • Utilize the Marshall Proposal Process
  • Assist/Coach on presentations and finalist meetings
  • Conduct post mortem on wins/losses—competitor information
  • Pipeline management across all distribution channels
  • Works on significant and unique issues requiring proficiency in a complex area requiring a broad grasp of Health and Benefits practice.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of related sales management experience

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of Health and Benefits
  • Previous experience in successfully managing sales in Health and Benefits
  • Expertise to develop strategic policies and products
  • Prior responsibility for personal ownership of the Market Sales Goal
  • Ability to teach value-based, consultative sales skills
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Familiar with H&B content & capabilities
  • Strong oral & written communications skills
  • A demonstrated ability to follow through on initiatives
  • A demonstrated ability to help close sales
  • Collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Develops and maintains valuable client and resource relationships.
