Aon are currently Accounts Assistant, Credit Control to join our team in Chelmsford. This role supports our AUM business (Aon Underwriting Managers).

 

Role purpose; To provide accounts support (in particular Credit Control) to Finance Director and broader finance team.

About the Role

 

As an Accounts Assistant, Credit Control some of your key responsibilities will involve;

 

Operate as part of the wider credit control team.

Ability to manage high volume accounts.

Ability to reconcile complex London market transactions.

Knowledge of London Market slip processing via bureau.

Responsible for cash allocation.

Maintain accurate and up to date account details and account records.

Query resolution.

Regular broker/offshore contact by phone and email.

Uses initiative to achieve targeted results, while maintaining goodwill with the Insurers/Brokers.

Makes adjustments, handles queries and resolves problems within company guidelines and policy.

Maintain accurate electronic filing.

 

Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

 

About you

 

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include;

 

Accounting qualifications preferred but not essential.

Enthusiastic team player with good communication skills, both written and verbal

Understanding and experience of Insurance Broker Accounts preferred.

Credit control experience is required. Reconciliation and intercompany accounting experience is preferred.

Microsoft Excel skills essential.

Self motivated with an eagerness to learn.

Able to plan and prioritise.

Experience of working with an offshore service provider preferred.
