Aon is looking for a Legal Assistant/Project Manager (Litigation)


We are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant and Project Manager to support the Employment Law and Litigation teams.  This individual must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment dealing with time-sensitive and confidential information. The role will manage traditional administrative tasks as well as provide support on day-to-day legal matters and projects.  The ideal candidate will be excellent with prioritization and time management, incredibly resourceful, and personable yet professional. 




  • Organizing and maintaining all correspondence, documents, contracts, and pleadings using the relevant document management system.
  • Creating, editing, and proofreading letters, legal documents, including checking documents for accuracy, content, and context
  • Perform intake of legal matters in case management system and calendar key dates and deadlines.
  • Prepare routine correspondence and responses on litigation matters, such as subpoenas.
  • Maintain and update repository of key document templates.
  • Prepare litigation hold notices and other standard litigation forms.
  • Coordinate billing for vendors.
  • Review, assess, prioritize, monitor status of pending items, follow up and keep attorney/staff informed.
  • Performing complex legal secretarial activities that may be highly confidential or sensitive, requiring diplomacy and discretion.
  • Administrative responsibilities also include scheduling meetings, booking travel (domestic & international), and preparing expense reports.
  • Communicate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions.
  • Build knowledge of Firm and client processes.


You Bring Knowledge and Expertise


The successful candidate will possess strong knowledge of litigation and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.  Employment law and insurance brokerage experience is a plus.



  • Ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a dynamic professional services environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple people and various tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively at all levels in person, by phone and by email.
  • Litigation experience required; employment law and insurance brokerage experience a plus.
  • Must possess advanced skill in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and database applications.
  • Ability to anticipate situations and respond quickly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Extensive file and document management experience.
  • An interest in expanding knowledge and responsibilities in casework preparation.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team.
  • Ability to provide information and respond to requests for assistance with courtesy and tact.
  • Must be a team player as well as self-motivated and committed to excellence in the workplace.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
