We are currently looking to recruit an Underwriting Assistant (International) to join Aon Underwriting Managers based in Chelmsford.

 

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and progress in the continued growth of a $500m+ international, multi-product portfolio

About the Role

 

As an Underwriting Assistant some of your key responsibilities will involve;

 

Working with underwriters to ensure an efficient processing of risks across multiple product lines

Liaise with Aon brokers within the Global Broking Centre to validate risk information   

Ensuring service levels with our data entry outsourcing partner are appropriately met

Conducting forensic analysis on individual accounts to identify processing issue and making recommendations as to process improvement  

Liaising with underwriters, brokers and internal departments to ensure financial reconciliation actions are turned around promptly. 

Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

 

About you

 

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include;

 

Understanding of underwriting operations.

Minimum A level standard (or equivalent).

Self-disciplined and organised.

High level of numeracy.

An eye for detail and accuracy.

Works well under time pressure.

Accurate and timely delivery of goals.
