Job Description

Aon’s Wellington team is looking for an Associate Director - Liability to accelerate our growth in the region.  Join our Wellington Corporate team to apply your business development skills in acquiring new clients and nurturing current relationships. Your ability to identify and convert business opportunities will be integral to the success of the branch.

Accompanying those skills will be your ability to liaise with corporate and commercial clients and underwriters to provide facilitate consultative dialogue and drive effective solutions. As such, you should be able to effectively manage a variety of collaborators with conflicting priorities.

About you

To be successful in this role, you would ideally come from an insurance broking background, with demonstrable client management skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes.

Additionally, you will have experience in:

  • Strong background in liability insurance
  • Working with the corporate broking team
  • Mentoring and training colleagues in business development techniques and activities
  • Co-ordinate client renewals in accordance with Aon New Zealand protocols
  • The ability to effectively engage with and present to stakeholders, up to C-suite level
  • The confidence and ability to manage and build your portfolio autonomously
  • Corporate written and verbal communication skills
