What the day will look like

 

The role will work within the Aon Reinsurance Greater China & APAC Retrocession (retro) team to support the revenue growth strategies for retro business in Greater China and APAC.

  • Support the formation and execution of growth strategies for retro business in Greater China and APAC
  • Lead growth strategies for designated retro client accounts
  • Support the delivery of service to our Greater China retro clients, including but not limited to providing broking services and alternative solutions, working on RFP, renewal proposals, post renewal review and client reports on specific topics, as well as working with Analytics team to carry out portfolio analysis and Cat modelling
  • Plan and execute inward business strategies for our clients
  • Support the execution of marketing strategy and manage client and reinsurer database
  • Support the execution of APAC regional initiatives in conjunction with APAC and London retro teams
  • Form and execute growth strategies in other LoBs to drive country and regional revenue growth

 

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 10 years and above experience in the reinsurance industry 
  • Underwriting, broking or actuarial service experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, e.g. solid foundation of Cat Modelling and reinsurance pricing, are required
  • Work experience in the London, Bermuda or Singapore market is preferred but not necessary
  • Self-driven and solution-oriented
  • A good team player, committed and reliable
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong time management skill
  • Strong IT skills, e.g. MS Office suite, programming skill is preferred but not necessary
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (both spoken and written), fluent in Cantonese is preferred but not necessary
