As a Product Governance Analyst, you will support the Aon’s vision with new product development and existing in life product management governance processes, that ensure sufficient oversight and consistency across the products and services that Aon co-manufactures and/or distributes in the UK.

What the day will look like

In this role, you will play a key role in embedding Aon’s Product Governance framework and providing expertise and advice to our product owners to promote a strong conduct culture.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the product governance framework is embedded within the business, working with product teams and risk & compliance colleagues to ensure all product governance processes are followed and appropriate approvals obtained at all stages in the product lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance and support to product teams to ensure all products remain compliant and within Aon risk appetite.
  • Ensure all product reviews are completed in a timely manner with Senior Management approvals obtained and recorded.
  • Liaise with insurer partners to ensure that they are fulfilling their obligations and Fair Value Assessments are obtained in a timely manner, managing any information requests received from insurers/service providers.
  • Ensure Product Information is maintained and kept updated in the Product Universe.
  • Interface with product teams, risk & compliance, and other key stakeholder groups.
  • Stay up to date on changes to regulations and ensure that our products are compliant.

These processes will help Aon to cater for the varied range of products and services under our remit to ensure the product meets the needs of customers, aligns with business objectives and complies with regulatory requirements by delivering good outcomes to customers. 

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Good understanding of business and the insurance market
  • Commercial mindset with an ability to apply regulatory expertise in a practical and pragmatic way.
  • Experience of a working in a risk and control environment
  • Strong analytical and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure.
  • Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision or questions.
  • Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Project, and Outlook
