Senior Account Manager
Working for a well-established insurance broker, you will focus on building long term client relationships, new business and strategic growth. With a national presence and supportive leaders across the region, join us in a role that incorporates client servicing and business growth.
About the Role
The purpose of this role is also to provide technical broking and support liaising with clients, underwriters and external partners. You will play a pivotal role in managing risks and driving growth across an existing portfolio.
Please note, this role can be based out of Auckland, Tauranga or Hamilton - with travel required when neccessary to Hamilton.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying opportunities for growth both within your existing client base and new business
- Providing professional, accurate and efficient responses to client needs through liaison with external stakeholders
- Actively prospecting for new business opportunities leveraging networks and relationships
- Coordinating client renewals and preparing premium calculations
Due to progression of the incumbent, we are looking to bring in a versatile insurance broker to fill his place, with growth and development on the cards.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
You’ll be a natural communicator who understands how to tailor to the situation, whether it be face to face, over the phone or through written correspondence. You will have a proven history in sales, new business and retention as well as the ability to work autonomously, of course with support from the wider teams.
A few key skills we look for:
- Proven experience in insurance broking, with a current L5 General Insurance qualification
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities
- Highly professional with a passion for client servicing.
With a range of clients based in Hamilton, we will require the successful candidate to be available to travel on occasion, with flexibility on the base location listed above.
