Finance Client Service Director, Captive Insurance (Guernsey)

Aon insurance Managers in Guernsey (AIMG) is seeking a highly experience Client Service Director to become a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), whilst also acting as a Client Executive, the role holder is expected to contribute towards the Company’s strategy, plans and budgets being achieved and ensure that client service excellence is delivered to clients.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually in Guernsey and from our office in St Peters Port, Guernsey.

This is dependent on role and aligns with in country smart working policy.

What the day will look like

  • Lead strategic and operational planning within your client service team, aligned with SLT and Aon Captive & Insurance Managers (ACIM) objectives.
  • Act as a senior executive resource, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery and achievement of budget targets.
  • Champion operational efficiency through effective management systems and tools.
  • Promote AIMG’s captive and (re)insurance capabilities internally and externally.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal obligations across client portfolios.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of Client Executives, Assistant Directors, and Senior Managers.
  • Drive client service excellence and uphold AIMG’s reputation for quality and integrity.

 Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven leadership in captives, (re)insurance, or financial services.
  • Strong technical knowledge of insurance, reinsurance, and captive structures.
  • Deep understanding of accounting, tax, and legal frameworks relevant to the industry.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into operational plans.
  • High level of initiative, integrity, and commitment to continuous development.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional client service and leading high-performing teams
