Job Title: Associate Account Executive, Personal Lines

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our offices.

What the day will look like
    • • Providing information to clients in response to inquiries on products.• Providing telephone coverage on the queue in a call-center type atmosphere• Providing information to customers in response to customer inquiries on products/services, converting a high percentage to new sales opportunities;• Analyzing customer inquiries by providing information on products/services;• Matching customer needs to insurance company’s products/services;• Meeting established sales and service targets;• Generating new business opportunities by recommending products/services where appropriate;• Up-selling or cross-selling products/services to existing clients;• Updating customer records on computer system;• Contacting other departments to obtain information requested by customers i.e. claims;• Resolving customer concern/complaints within authority limits;• Providing post sales customer service (i.e. policy changes);• Reviewing coverage(s) and recommends changes as necessary;• Maintaining quality controls, checks work for accuracy;• Managing accounts receivable;• Processing documents, including customer letters and invoices (as needed or directed);• Referring complex/difficult customer complaints/inquiries to team leader or supervisor;• Maintaining general knowledge and understanding of all personal property and auto insurance products/services;• Providing telephone coverage support (as directed);• Leading by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of best practice; and• Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • 3+ years’ experience in Home and Auto Personal Lines insurance with proven customer service success preferred
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree or a combination of education and equivalent years is a definite asset
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and prioritize requests while maintaining a positive attitude
  • High level of organization, efficiency, and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to develop and deepen relationships with clients, colleagues, and insurer partners
  • Valid provincial license is a requirement; relevant certifications such as CIP and CAIB are assets
  • License for other provinces or open to take them is preferred
